Keep Cool and Save Money! - 4th June 2010
Summer heat gain caused by heat through glazing can cause extreme discomfort in workplaces and homes. In an office environment productivity can drop significantly as a result, and in severe cases can cause a health and safety concern. Solar control window film is a quick and simple way of dramatically reducing solar heat gain in summer months. If you are running air conditioning or other cooling devices you can realise payback periods typically between 3-4 years by reducing the requirement for cooling. Working with young artists - 22nd January 2010
Local School children provided the art for a recently completed Health Centre. National window films were approached by the Architect and main contractor to display the artwork on glazing areas throughout the building. By printing the digital images on a Vinyl film and over-laminating to provide a durable product, we were able to install the artwork on glass areas including play areas and a Cafe. The end product has been appreciated by all and was a fantastic finishing touch to this new building. We are able to replicate virtually any image on to glass areas using this method.

Securing the High Street - 11th December 2009
We have recently completed projects for several retailers and retail banking groups to protect branches from smash and grab burglaries. Criminal gangs have been targeting front of house glazing as an entry point. By securing front of house glazing with our clear security film and an edge retention system, gangs are unable to gain quick access by either smashing the glass or forcing it from its frame. Since trials started last year, our customers are pleased to say that our system has prevented several break-in attempts. As well as being widely used in retail and commercial environments, our system is suitable for anybody wishing to secure their glazed areas from forced entry.
Glass Safety Upgrades - 28th October 2009
National Window Films® have recently completed another national glazing upgrade programme for a portfolio of over 200 properties. The work involved upgrading high risk glazing in the properties to a safety glass standard. The Workplace (Heath, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 require employers and certain people who have control over workplaces to take steps to deal with glazing where it constitutes a risk. National Window Films® can help you to comply with these regulations in a number of ways. We offer a glazing audit service to provide your on-site building managers with all of the information that they need to undertake risk assessments. We can note areas of particular concern through targeted surveys aimed at certain types of glazing or glazing areas. Where glazing upgrading is required we can install a clear film to the glass and mark it if required so that there is no need for expensive re-glazing.

Specturally Selective Window Film - New Department Store in West London - 10th March 2009
After opening it soon became evident to our client that the large enclosed display windows at the store were retaining excessive amounts of heat, making is virtually impossible for the display teams to work in the areas on sunny days. National Windows Films® was asked if it could install a window film to help reduce this heat, with the criterion that clear vision into the display areas must be retained. The film chosen for this project was a neutral coloured material from our spectrally selective/vista range. This product, with high visible light transmission and good solar heat rejection while retaining low reflective properties, made it an ideal choice for this particular situation.
